As if we needed another reason to eat tacos. If there’s one way to my heart, it’s through queso and a cold Corona [squeeze of lime, please!] When looking ahead to Valentine’s Day and debating on if we should go to my dearly beloved Chick-fil-A for a fancy night out [they put flowers on the table, serve you at your booth, it’s legit] or switch things up, we landed on switch things up. Insert the idea of a taco tour. It’s exactly as magical as it sounds. You venture around to local taquerias, have a trusty score keeping card with you [don’t worry, we have that printable for you to take along below!] and get to eating and scoring. A win/win for everybody involved.
Shawn and I ventured out to a local taco joint to begin our taco tour the other day [ideally you’d hit up several spots in one day or evening, trying one taco at each taqueria you go to]. It took approximately four seconds to scarf down that goodness. As we ate we had a very serious discussion about the tacos [in our] hand. From rating them to the tortilla [nobody likes a flimsy tortilla] to the meat, salsa flavor and overall adoration, it was a fun way to enjoy our meal together in more ways than one. I may have left with cilantro in my teeth and onion on my breath which may have cut into some after taco fun but you get what you can get and in this case, I got some darn good tacos in my mouth.

Founder and creator of LIY, Erin turned her dream of a hobby blog into a full-time career which she now runs alongside the LIY team! When not in front of her computer screen [with a La Croix or wine in hand] or in front of a mirror taking mirror selfies, you can find Erin spending time on the water, cuddled up with her two pups and husband most likely watching the latest Shark Tank episode, or getting lost in an easy beach read.
